Acrylic is a transparent and resistant thermoplastic also known under the trademark of Plexiglas. This plastic is used for sign panels, lighted banners, signalling and advertising panels, display stands, engraving, furnishings, store layouts, decoration, industrial parts and safety accessories.
Fenestration, weatherstriping, commercial layouts and shelves, wall protection strips, safety guard rails, furniture protection, non molded sign panels, billboards, museum acrylic cover, etc.
Acrylic extrusion is a continuous fabrication method. The extrusion process produces a thickness tolerance greater than that of poured acrylic (cast) which is due to the volume created by the extrusion production, this process is more economical. It is easily polished however residue can occur during cutting. Acrylic absorbs the solvent more slowly and thouroughly resulting in a complete bond.
Sheets are covered with a protective film or paper coating. The least expensive acrylic resin of its type. Material requires more attention during transformation process of part. Ideal when a clear acrylic with a specific thickness is needed. Do not clean with strong solvents or chemical products. Easier to polish than the poured casting type acrylic.
Material sheets in stock are available in clear (white, black and smoke) upon request (minimum purchase required). Other colours, thicknesses and dimensions are available upon request (minimum purchase required).
