Mainly used in high technology areas, high performance plastics are made to resist extreme environments. Easy to transform, most of them have excellent antibacterial and/or thermal properties. They are used for mechanical and precision parts as well as for electric, electronic and medical components. In addition to materials in-use, they can be reinforced with different additives in order to have higher degrees of resistance to chemicals, wear, radiations and overloads.
PAI is used for parts that are subject to extreme conditions, such as components for the aerospace, chemical, electrical as well as in nuclear industries.
Non contaminating, PAI can resist temperatures up to 600°F. It exhibits extreme hardness, long-term dimensional stability and high wear and chemical resistance.
As well as having very good insulating properties, PAI Sintimid™ is made to preserve its mechanical properties at very high temperatures. Offered in several formulations, PAI is molded by compression and available in 1 to 6 inch lengths.
