Colourless and easy to sterilize, PES has a low thermal expansion and excellent dimensional stability in high temperature applications. Even if subject to very high (+ 200°C) or very low temperatures, PES will retain its physical properties. It has good creep and shock resistance (up to 150°C) but it is not recommended for applications with extreme abrasion. Known for being fire-resistant, it also has a favourable resistance to chemicals and radiation including; X-rays, beta and gamma rays.
