ACRYLIC (EXTRUSION)

Also known as the trade name Plexiglas®, acrylic is a polyvalent and strong thermoplastic.

APPLICATIONS

Windows, insulating glazing, store design and racking, protective strip, guardrail, furniture protection, non-molded signs, visual, scale model protection, etc.

FEATURES

  • Acrylic pellets are melted through an extruder in a continuous process. The result of the extrusion process indicates a tighter thickness tolerance than acrylic molded casting (cast).
  • Extrusion process is the most economical method to the production of acrylic sheet.
  • Acrylic could be polish but could stick during the cutting process. The material absorbs the solvent more slowly and deeply, allowing a complete bonding.
  • Sheets provided with a protective film (film or paper).
  • Extruded Acrylic material requires special attention when processing. Great material for specific thickness clear acrylic part.
  • Do not clean with aggressive solvents or chemicals.
  • Easier to polish than acrylic cast grades.
