ACRYLIC MIRROR

APPLICATIONS

Acrylic mirror is a dazzling and spectacular plastic material for decorative elements, special effects, wall signs and displays. Applications include decorative element, commemorative plaques, trophies, exhibit and trade show, as well as fabrication of furniture and security mirrors in hospitals and correctional centres (prisons).

The two-way mirror (see-thru mirror) is used for security and surveillance in police stations, detention centres, television stations and other institutions.

FEATURES

• Lightweight and improved breakage resistance - up to 10 times more resistant to impact than glass mirror of the same thickness – polyvalent material for fabrication.

• Can be curved for special effects. It can be grooved, cut, drilled, or laser cut. Slight deformation can occur if the product is poorly supported.
• Has the same properties as the extruded acrylic material.
• Can be laminated using water-based contact adhesive (make a test before), or duct tape on both sides (double-sided).
• Because the material is not moisture resistant, a high humidity level may temporarily distort the material.
• Acrylic mirror is covered with a protective film on one side and with aluminum film on the other side. The protective film should not be removed before the end of the processing steps or installation.
• The two-ways mirror (see-through mirror) is partially transparent on one side, for good optical properties, and partially reflective on the other side, with light transmission range between 5 and 20%.
