Fluoropolymer

Fluoropolymers are made of fluorinated plastic material which is characterized by high resistance to chemicals as well as good thermal stability and low coefficient of friction. Materials include among others Teflon® (PTFE), which is the commercial name of the product and the manufacturer who invented the product: Dupont™ Teflon®. Fluoropolymers can be chemically modified to allow etching or contain additives such as glass, graphite, bronze and many others.
